Massey Carnival 2026: Turning a Tractor Demo into a Farmer Celebration

How Midas Touch ran Massey Carnival 2026 for Massey Ferguson and TAFE: live tractor demonstrations, farmer engagement activities and a new dealership inauguration in one four-hour event.

When Massey Ferguson and TAFE Tractors wanted to launch their new dealership, Tractor Hub, they did not want a ribbon-cutting and a press photo. They wanted a carnival. Four hours, hundreds of farmers, live tractor demonstrations, and a dealership opening, all in one event.

Midas Touch designed and executed the entire show: Massey Carnival 2026. Here is how we put it together, and what made it work.

Farmers at Massey Carnival farmer engagement event

Three goals, one event

Most product events have one job. This one had three:

  1. Engage farmers with entertainment and activities, not just speeches.
  2. Demonstrate the tractor range live, from smaller models up to the most powerful machines.
  3. Inaugurate the new Tractor Hub dealership in front of the exact audience it will serve.

The trick was sequencing. Farmers arrived at 10 AM and the energy never dropped until lunch at 1 PM, because every segment fed into the next one.

Hour one: registration that actually does marketing work

Registration ran from 10:00 to 10:45 AM. But instead of a plain sign-in sheet, every farmer received a reference coupon. They filled in the details of one more potential tractor buyer they knew, and became eligible for rewards under the company's referral scheme.

This is a small mechanic with a big payoff. The client walked away with a list of warm leads generated by the farmers themselves, and the farmers had a reason to stay involved from the minute they arrived. Carnival whistles and pongas were handed out at the same time, so the venue sounded like a celebration before the program even started.

The opening: ritual before business

At 11 AM sharp, the event opened with Ganesh Vandana, followed by the TAFE company anthem. Then the anchor officially declared Massey Carnival open with music, whistles and full energy.

This order matters. In rural Maharashtra, starting with a blessing is not decoration, it is respect. It told every farmer in the audience that this event was built for them, not just for the brand.

The main act: tractors as entertainment

From 11:20 AM to 12:45 PM came the heart of the carnival: live demonstrations of the Massey Ferguson range. Here is how we staged it:

  • All tractors were hidden behind the main stage at the start.
  • Each model entered the arena one by one, from the smaller range up to the biggest machines, with energetic music and a build-up announcement before every entry.
  • Trained company demonstrators showed engine power, pulling strength, hydraulics, fuel efficiency and farming applications in simple, farmer-friendly language.
  • Confetti and colour shots marked selected moments, cleared for safety and kept away from moving machines.

The key decision: the anchor never tried to explain the engineering. The anchor built excitement, and the trained demonstrators explained the machines. Energy and expertise stayed in separate lanes, which kept the crowd entertained without dumbing down the product.

The emotional peak: dealership inauguration

After the demos, with the crowd at full energy, we inaugurated the new TAFE dealership, Tractor Hub. Senior leadership including CEO Mr. Sandip Sinha joined the dealership team on stage for the ribbon-cutting.

Placing the inauguration here was deliberate. The farmers had just watched the machines perform. Trust was at its highest. Opening the dealership at that exact moment connected the excitement of the demos directly to a place where farmers could buy, get service and ask questions.

Engagement between the big moments

A four-hour event dies in the gaps. Between demonstrations, the anchor kept farmers involved with quick interactions: who already uses a Massey Ferguson, which demo they liked best, who is planning to buy a tractor soon. Short questions, fast answers, constant energy. The referral coupon activity was mentioned through the day so nobody forgot to submit theirs.

What we would repeat for any rural brand event

  1. Make registration do work. A coupon, a contest, a referral, anything that turns sign-in into lead generation.
  2. Respect the local opening ritual. Ganesh Vandana before the brand film is not optional in this audience.
  3. Separate the showman from the expert. The anchor drives energy, the demonstrator drives credibility.
  4. Sequence the emotional peak. Put your biggest announcement when audience trust is highest, not at the start when seats are still filling.
  5. Plan the gaps, not just the segments. The ten minutes between demos decide whether energy holds or collapses.
